Frederick William Becker was a direct descendant of John and Betty More's James line. He was born on February 15, 1913, in Rollinsville, Colorado to Clyde McKee Becker and Bessie Amelia Gray. The family moved to Chickasha, Oklahoma when he was ten. Fred graduated from Chickasha High School and entered the University of Oklahoma where he was awarded a degree in geology in 1935. Fred married Dorothy Mae Mahone on January 27, 1935, in Chickasha, Oklahoma and the couple moved to Arizona where he worked in the mining business. In 1941 Fred entered medical school at the University of Oklahoma where he graduated in 1945. After an internship at St. Joseph's Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota Fred served two years in the United States Army. The family moved to Altus, Oklahoma in July 1949 where he established a practice in medicine and surgery. He also served a two-year term as a hospital chief of staff. Fred and Dorothy shared two daughters and one son. Fred was a member of the Episcopal Church, the Elks, the Chamber of Commerce as well as other civic clubs. He died on November 7, 1990, in McAlester, Oklahoma.
