Lola's grandfather Ferdinand Wolf 1826-1918 came to America from Germany when he was 14 yrs. of age. He married Ellen Gale 1836-1879 of New York on Jan 7, 1858. Ellen Wolf bore Alva, Elmer, Cora, Adelburt, Deward and Otto. The family migrated from Atchison, Kansas to Taney County, Missouri around 1858.

Alva married Mollie Pride- their children are:

Dell
Lawrence
Emery
Lola (married Benjamin Franklin Herd)

Alva's second wife Lucinda (Simmons) bore him:
Clara
Dora
Ethel
Bertha
Rosa
Otto
Herbert

Lola and Benjamin, years later purchased the Old Mission's Church in Coweta, OK. converting it into a home. Neighbors and family recall her speaking in tongues while churning butter on the front porch. Lola had been diabetic for a number of years, died of a heart attack on Christmas Eve Day while preparing Christmas Dinner.
