IOTA - Funeral services for Vernice Richard Klumpp, 77, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 3, 2001, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota with Rev. Kenneth Mayne officiating. Burial was held in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin's Funeral Home of Iota. Visitation was held from noon until 10 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. Monday. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday
Mrs. Klumpp died at 8-50 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2001, at Jennings American Legion Hospital.
Survivors include; two sons and daughters- in -law, Wayne and Joanette Klumpp and Randy and Sharon Klumpp all of Evangeline; two brothers, Curley Richard of Jennings,and Clobert Richard of Egan; two sisters, Wava Abshire of Hemphill, Texas, and Lou Ethel Simar of Egan; her Godchild Terry LeLeaux of Egan; five grandchildren, Christopher,Corey, Chad, and Jeremy Klumpp and Christina Wilson; and two great-grandchildren, Amber and Ty Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wilson J. Klumpp.
