Edward Pierce, 81, of Cameron, OK, passed away Friday, October 8, 2010, in his home. Edward was born September 23, 1929, in Cameron, OK, to Ernest Adam (Red) and Delier LouB (Thomas) Pierce. He was a retired Chief Warrant Office for the U.S. Army. Edward Pierce married Una M. Purdy on December 22, 1950, at Clarkson Ontario, Canada. Ed was a member of the Rock Island Freewill Baptist Church, and belonged to the Royal Order of Scotland, 32 Degree Scottish Rite, Member of Moshaltubbee Masonic Lodge, Spiro Masonic Lodge, and The Order of Eastern Star, both Spiro and Poteau. Edward is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Andrew Jackson Pierce and one sister, Lucille Young. He is survived by his wife Una Pierce of the home; three sons, Paul Pierce and wife Mitzi of Cameron, OK, Danial Pierce and wife Sin Cha of Oceanside, CA and Raymond Pierce and wife Ute of Colorado Springs, CO; three daughters, Carol Hartley and husband Tom of Panama, OK, Nora Pierce and husband William Eric Farmer of Dallas, GA, and Laura Seeler of Phoenix, AZ; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Pierce of Shady Point, OK, C.D. Pierce of Ft. Smith, AR and Dennis Pierce of Alma, AR; one sister Eula Faye Justice of Spiro, OK; numerous other family members, friends and loved ones. Pallbearers will be the Masons. Services will be held at 11:30AM, Thursday, October 14, 2010, at the Cameron Civic Center, Cameron, OK, with Bro. Brad Kuhl and Bro. Jackie Edwards officiating and Masonic Rites by the Masons. Interment will follow the service at the Ft. Smith National Cemetery with Military Honors performed by the Stigler V.F.W. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Services under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home, Poteau, Oklahoma.
