Arriving in Vietnam 19 February 1968, Jimmy was assigned to Charlie Company, 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division. Jimmy was asleep when he was shot by another Marines, who was due to transfer out on a Section 8. Cause of death was listed as Intentional Homicide.
