Leatha "Pete" Daryleta Herr, 77, of Arkansas City, Kansas, died Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at the South Central Kansas Regional Medical Center, Arkansas City, Kansas.
Graveside memorial services will be held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the Dexter Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, September 10th from 1:00 until 5:00 P.M. at the Hawks-Shelley Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial has been established with the Meals on Wheels. Contributions can be left at the Hawks-Shelley Funeral Home & Crematory of Arkansas City.

Leatha Daryleta Herr was born the daughter of Homer Everett and Lilly (Barber) Herr on September 17, 1932 in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas. Leatha graduated from Plainview High School in Wichita, KS. She worked at the Village Service Station as a clerk, did housekeeping and retired from the Shoe Store in 1997.

Surviving to honor her memory are her sister, Doris Heathman of Booneville, Arkansas, her nieces; Janice Main, Carol Barker, Patricia Richardson, Joyce Wallace, Phyllis McConnell, Marsha Turnipseed, Loretta Walker, Mary Jo Ferguson and Linda Andrus, nephews; William Rollins, Howard Heathman and Don Heathman.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her sisters, Vivian Heathman, Charmion Campbell, Thelma Baker and Velma Leith, one brother, Irving Herr and 2 nieces and 3 nephews.
