Bettye Alexander Burgess, 77, of Okmulgee and formerly of Cushing, dies Saturday, October 16, 2010 at her home.
She was born March 3, 1933 in Picher, Oklahoma to Harry E. and Isla Leola (Betzer) North.
She was a retired real estate agent and a member of the Love Christian Ministries Church in Tulsa.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Burgess, brother, Ray North, adopted children, Jeff Alexander and Jamie Eberhard, and grandchildren, Todd, Andrew, Abrey and Annie.
She was preceded in by her parents, sisters, Imogene and Nadine and a daughter, Connie Jo.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the Love Christian Ministries Church in Tulsa. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery near Chetopa, Kansas. Friends may visit on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. – 8:00 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
