Word was received by relatives of the death of a former El Camino resident, Mrs. Vera M Webster, in San Blas, Nayarit, Mexico, Friday night. She had been ill for a couple of weeks, but her death was unexpected. She had been on an extended stay in Mexico with A E Finch of Menlo Park, an old family friend, and was due to start home this week.
She is survived by four sons and two daughters - Allen Webster of Sydney, Australia, Don of Sacramento, Stanley of Fremont, and Stephen of Hayward, Mrs Evelyn Seavers of Orland, and Mrs Maxine Shanahan of Marysville. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, and the following brothers, Volney and Marlin Watts of Pocatello, Idaho; Avey Watts of Gerber, and Evert Watts of Redwood City; and a sister, Mrs Zela Dillon, also of Pocatello.
Mrs Webster was a native of Norton, Kansas, where she was born March 27, 1896. She and her husband, the late Joe Webster, and family were residents of El Camino for many years, until after Mr Webster's death in 1956. She was affiliated with Helena Rebekah Lodge, and a member of the local Past Noble Grands Club. Services are pending at Fickerts Chapel, to be contingent upon the return of the body from Mexico, which may take a week or ten days.
