Adeline Haner was first married to Charles Cole and they had several children together. After Charles Cole's death, she married Warren C. Barrus. They divorce before 1930. Addie Barrus outlives her second husband by eight years. Addie Haner Cole Barrus dies in 1944.

Barrus--At Elmcrest, Town of Salena, May 30, 1944, MRS. ADELINE E. BARRUS. Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Harley Beebe and Mrs. Leon Bennett; two sons, Grover Cole and Edward Barrus; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Rice and Mrs. Mary Loveless, one brother, John A. Haner. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home of L. L. Tucker & Son, Liverpool, NY, Friday afternoon at 2:30. Friends are invited. Internment in Pine Plains Cemetery.

Mrs. Adeline E. Barrus, a resident of Liverpool for many years, died Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harley Beebe, at Elmcrest. Surbviving are another daughter, Mrs. Leon Bennett of South Butler; two sons, Grover Cole of Lowville and Edward Barrus of Liverpool; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Rice and Mrs. Mary Loveless, and brother, John A. Haner, all of Clay, and seven grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.
