Services for Edward W. Barrus, 74, of 3991 Elmcrest Road, Liverpool, who died Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Maurer Funeral Home, Liverpool. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 300 Second St. A native of Euclid, Mr. Barrus resided most of his life in Liverpool. He retired as a machinist from Reliable Machine and Motor Parts Co. Inc. in Syracuse. Mr. Barrus was a member of Liverpool First United Methodist Church and its Methodist Senior Fellowship. Surviving are his wife, the former Edna Gerhardt; a son, Bernard E. Thoma of Liverpool; a daughter, Betty Ball of Fulton; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Contributions may be made to Moyers Corners Fire Department Ambulance Fund or the Liverpool First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
