The daughter of William Roy & Nancy Belle Criner. She was born in Stone Bluff, Oklahoma. She married Donald Carpenter on January 3, 1948 in Wagoner County, Oklahoma. They had one child together, daughter LaDonna Sue.

Jewel was owner and operator of the Cloud Nine Pecan Farm, and worked the pecan groves and cracking shed along with her husband since the early 1980's. She was retired from the Union Meat Processors, having worked for both Sipes and Safeway as a meat-wrapper. She was a member of The Oklahoma Pecan Growers Association, The Oklahoma Cattleman's Association and the Broken Arrow Round Up Club.

She took great pride in being a wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a fond animal lover, having raised several family dogs, as well as raising squirrels and fawns by hand over the years. She raised beautiful gardens and canned like a pro.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Roy Williams and Nancy Belle Criner and brother, Jim Williams. She is survived by her husband, Donald, of the home; her daughter, LaDonna Sue Mostellar; three grandsons, Willie Dean, Jamie Mack and Scooter Don Lewis, and grandchildren.
