Son of Samuel Jarvis (1720 - 1780) and Martha {Seymour} Jarvis, his wife, who were United Empire Loyalists

The Honourable William Jarvis, Provincial Secretary of Upper Canada, was originally buried in St James Cathedral Cemetery; at a later date his remains were removed to the family crypt at St James-the-Less Cemetery on Parliament Street. William's UEL plaque hangs in the Cathedral on King East at Church St, in downtown Toronto
