Prominent Cooper Veteran Died Friday.
Dr. Edwin Hoyt. an old soldier resident of Cooper, aged 58 years, died of heart trouble Friday morning at 12:30 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. D. F. Hollowell of Cooper. A wife and two children survive, Mrs. T. E. Wilson of Alamo and H. F. Hoyt of Benton Harbor. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the homo of Mrs. Hollowell. The Rev. Messrs. Miller and Otis will officiate. Interment will be In Cooper. The G. A. R. post of Plainwell, of which Mr. Hoyt was a member, will attend in a body. Kalamazoo Saturday Telegraph June 24, 1899 page 1
