Jacob Kneller, who had been a patient in the Shelby County Memorial hospital in this city for some time, died at that institution Saturday night at 9:30 o'clock, after a several weeks' illness from pneumonia and complications caused by an attack of influenza. Mr. Kneller had been improving until Thursday, when he suffered a relapse. Jacob Kneller was a son of John Kneller and Tillie Kircher Kneller and was born in Shelby county on October 2, 1879. For a number of years he was a prominent farmer of Rose township, and was well known and had many friends. He is survived by his parents, and the following brothers and sisters: William Kneller, Lytton, IA; George Kneller, OH; Mrs. Wilbur Fleming, living south of Shelbyville; Misses Goldie and Lena Kneller and Clyde and Arthur Kneller at home. A short service was held at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Kneller, at two o'clock Monday afternoon, and at 2:30 o'clock funeral services were held at St. John's Lutheran church in Rose township, with interment in the cemetery adjoining the church.
