John Kneller died at his farm home northwest of Shelbyville at 5:00 p.m. Monday. He had been ill for the past three years, suffering a paralytic stroke about three years ago. Mr. Kneller lived on South First street in Shelbyville for a time. John, son of Philip and Katherine Kneller, was born near Sugar Grove, OH, in 1855. When he was quite young his parents came to Shelby county. Mr. Kneller has lived here all of his life. On Nov. 5, 1879 he was married to Matilda Kircher who survives him. He also leaves the following children: Will of Vetter, IA; Mrs. Edith Fleming of Shelbyville; Mrs. Goldie Forsythe of Shelbyville; Mrs. Lena Summers, Shelbyville; George of Elkhart, IN; and Clyde and Arthur at home. Four children preceded their father in death. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Hannah Kull of Strasburg, and one brother, William Kneller, of Hebron, OH. Mr. Kneller was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church. Services were held from St. John's church at ten o'clock Wednesday morning. Interment in the cemetery nearby.
