DEEP RIVER--Raymond Wood, age 62, operator of the Ford dealership in Deep River since 1922, died unexpectedly Thursday in his home after suffering a heart seizure.
A life-long resident of the Deep River area, Wood was a member of American Legion Post 54, Hobart; F and AM, McClelland lodge, Hobart; and a member of the Ainsworth-Deep River Fired department since 1953. He was a former treasurer of this organization.
Surviving are the widow, Bess; one sister, Miss Olive Wood, both of Deep River; and his stepmother, Mrs. Ura Wood of Hobart.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Pflughoeft Funeral home in Hobart. Masonic services will also be held. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery in Valparaiso.
