Thomas Raymond "Tom" Helweg, 65, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, died Friday, April 4, 1997.
Tom was instrumental in school bus transportation in the state of New Mexico since 1959. Tom and his wife, Esther, owned and operated the Helweg & Farmer Transportation Co. until February of 1996.
He is survived by his wife, Esther of the family home; daughters, Dianne Baisdon and husband, Roger Neugebauer of Sandia Park, NM; Sharon Zuercher and husband, Karl; and Nita Coleman, all of Albuquerque;, and Carolyn Degenhart and husband, Lynn of Las Cruces, NM; grandchildren: Mark and Cindl Baisdon, Joel and Ross Zuercher, Ryan Coleman, and Nicholas Degenhart.
