The funeral of C. F. Carter, which was held at the residence yesterday afternoon was largely attended. The service was conducted by Rev. George W. Truett, pastor of the First Baptist Church. The interment was in Oakland Cemetery. The active pallbearers were Edgar Flippen, R. S. Spahr, Hugh Prather, T. V. Murray, Jr., B. W. Haughton, Ed Callier, R. A. Horner, and Robert Watkin. The honorary pallbearers were F. C. Callier, George Leachman, Judge J. E. Cockrell, Edward Titche, J. T. Buckingham, Guy Sumpter, J. B. Adoue, J. B. Wilson, W. A. Green, Col. R. B. Cole, E. J. Gannon, and S. J. Hay, and George Gross of Waxahachie.
