Son of James and Grizzell (Sylvester) Lloyd. James Lloyd became owner of the land, Caumsett (formerly Horse Neck), in 1684. In 1685 the land was renamed "Manor of Queen's Village", annexed to Oyster Bay, Queens. Today the area is known as Lloyd Harbor and much of the land has become Caumsett State Historic Park. It is now part of the Town of Huntington in Suffolk Co.
At the age of 24, Henry gave up a shipping business in Newport, RI in order to farm the land. Henry Lloyd's house, built in 1711, still stands. It is known as the Henry Lloyd Manor House.
Henry Married Rebecca Nelson, dau. of john Nelson on 27 Nov 1708 in Boston, Mass. He later married Mary Clark on 23 Oct 1729.In 1711, young Henry Lloyd and his bride, Rebecca, arrived on a 3,000- acre parcel of land owned by Henry's family. The land, which was located on Lloyd Neck, (then called Horse's Neck) had been left fallow by Henry's father, James Lloyd I. It was here that Henry decided to make his fortune.

Married 1st: in Boston, Rebecca Nelson, on November 27, 1708 (28th Report, Boston Rec. Com., 19). She was born in Boston, November 15, 1688, the daughter of John Nelson (1654-1734) & Elizabeth (Tailer) Nelson (1667-1734), was the daughter of William and Rebecca (Stoughton) Tailer.

Married 2nd: Mary Clark, October 23, 1729, daughter of Captain John and
Mary (Atwater) Clark. Mary (Clark Pemberton Campbell) Lloyd died November 10, 1749.

Henry Lloyd was her 3rd marriage; she had been married twice before. 1st: Rev. Ebenezer Pemberton, (1672-1718), whom she married June 12, 1701, and 2nd: on April 11, 1723, to John Campbell, no children.

Henry Lloyd I survived her, and continued to live on his Manor until his death on March 18, 1763. They were both interred on Lloyd's Neck.

He married Feb. 21, 1736/7, in King's Chapel, Boston, Catharine Hutchinson, daughter of William and Elizabeth Hutchinson. (28th Report, Boston Rec. Com., 329; W. H. Whitmore, "Brief Genealogy of the Hutchinson Family," in New Eng. Hist, and Gen. Reg., XIX, 18). They had no children.
