Mrs. Carter was born in Dodge County, GA. She was the daughter of the late Joseph D. Giddens and Mary Ann (Evans) Giddens and the wife of the late William L. Carter. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Warner Robins and a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She was a member of the NARFE, the Central Georgia Genealogical Society and the Robinettes Homemakers Club. Mrs. Carter was a retired Items Manager Specialist from Robins Air Force Base.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Marcene G. Carter, 95, went home to be with her Savior from the Heart of Georgia Hospice on Thursday, October 14, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 2P.M. Sunday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Middle Ground Cemetery in Dodge County at 4:30 P.M. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Dr. Kelly Pritchett, Jr. will officiate. -Mrs. Carter was born in Dodge County, GA. She was the daughter of the late Joseph D. Giddens and Mary Ann (Evans) Giddens and the wife of the late William L.
