The 51st Wedding Anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Garrett of Price, N.C., was celebrated on Wednesday, December 11, when members of their immediate family gathered at the Price home to help the couple enjoy the occasion, which was in the form of an elaborate afternoon and evening reception.
Mrs. Garrett was before marriage, Miss Lelia Jones. She is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Jones of Ridgeway. Mr. Garrett is a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Garrett and a brother of Senator W. A. Garrett of Ridgeway, Va.
The couple lives at the old Garrett home near Price, N.C.
The couple have six living children as follows: Mrs. Landis Mitchell, Leaksville, N.C.; Mrs. Eugene Trivette, North Wilkesboro, N.C.; Mrs. Robert Lee Neal, Reidsville, N.C.; Thomas J. Garrett, Jr. and Misses Florence and Ivie Garrett, all of Price.
