The funeral for Viola B. Eanes, 84, 826 Edmonds St., will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday from Swicegood Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Steve Kiser. Interment will be in the Barbour Family Cemetery in Callands.
She died Friday, May 10, 1996, in the Danville Regional Medical Center. Born June 24, 1911, in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of Louis Barbour and Sally Pruitt Barbour. She was married to Roy T. Eanes, who died Nov. 29, 1971.
She was employed by Danville Memorial Hospital as a ward helper until her retirement. She was a member of Riveroak Church of God.
Survivors include three sons, Roy T. Eanes Jr., Jerry Wayne Eanes and Perry Lane Eanes; two daughters, Betty Jane Toler and Vicky Dawn Kiser; three sisters, Lottie Eanes, Carrie Ferrell and Eva Amos; brother, Ran Barbour; nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
