WILLARD – Everend Leland Jacobson died peacefully on October 14, 2010 in Brigham City, Utah.

Lee was born in San Francisco, California on June 14, 1927. At the age of 5, his family moved to Logan, Utah, where he lived until he joined the army as WWII came to a close. He served in the weather corps as part of the U.S. Occupation Force in Japan.

On December 19, 1949 he married June Marie Welti in the LDS Logan Temple. Lee earned a Masters degree in chemistry at Purdue University in Indiana before moving to Houston, Texas, where he served in church presidencies of a branch and a stake.

In 1959 he moved his family to Brigham City, where the last two of his seven children were born. In 1967 the family moved to El Cajon, California. He served faithfully there for many years as a Boy Scout leader.

In 1989, Lee and June returned to Utah, where Lee worked for Willard City as a Zoning administrator and building inspector for many years. Lee and June served a mission at the Family History Center in Salt Lake City. Most of Lee's time in retirement was spent in family history research.

His beloved wife, June, has waited since March of 2008 for their sweet reunion on the other side of the veil. Also awaiting his arrival there, were grandchildren: Megan Jacobson and Jason Bird and great-granddaughter, Dani Johnson.

He leaves behind in mortality, his sister, Barbara (Lewis) Bickmore, and his children: Linda (Steven) Lee-Thomas, Mark (Barbara) Jacobson, Jill (George) Harper, Kent (Missy) Jacobson, Scott (Lori) Jacobson, Kirk (Dana) Jacobson, and Karen (Clark) Bird.
