William Foy was born at Bloomington, McLean County, Illinois April 1, 1854 and died at Hastings, Nebraska March 31, 1927, lacking one day of being 73 years of age.

He was married to Miss Martha Lowery November 18, 1877. To this union six children were born, James L., Emily J., Lucy F., Clara E., John E., and William Ray, all living. There are eighteen grandchildren. His wife passed away September 9, 1921. He had been a member of the Christian Church since boyhood. He was a charter member of Knights of Pythias Lodge of Fairfield and a member of Modern Woodman of Edgar.
"Blessed are they that died in the Lord."

Funeral services were held at Fairfield Christian Church. Services conducted by the Rev Lundeen, assisted by the Rev Davis. Interment at Edgar cemetery.
