Ruth died after a brief illness. She was born in New York, the daughter of Milton and Dorothy Hudders. She was raised in Floral Park, Long Island and came to Ohio in 1950, where she met and married Clifford H. Birdsall on June 28, 1952. Ruth graduated from Ohio Wesleyan in 1954. She and Clifford raised three children. Her interests included antiques and she was the owner of Courtyard Antiques. Ruth used the internet to advance her interest in antiques. She also developed many lifelong friends through her antique dealings. Ruth spent her final days at home with family and friends and, ofcorse, her antiques. Even though she was confined to her bed, friends would stop by with their latest antique discoveries, which would delight her. She was a person with exceptional knowledge, common sense and love. Even to her end, she was more concerned about others than about herself. The family thanks the Visiting Nurse Service for their care.
