Leona Frances Christiansen, 78, of Fallbrook, Calif., died of cancer
Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006 at her home.
Leona Weber Christiansen, daughter of Peter and Julie Weber, was born
August 6, 1928 in Dunlap, Iowa. Before she was married Phil Christiansen and
moved to California, she worked in the office of Dr. C. W. Byrnes in Dunlap.
She lived in Fallbrook, Calif. For 36 years. She was a member of St.
Peter's Catholic Church and the Joslyn Senior Center. These are a few of her
favorite things: kissing Phil, grandchildren, angels, playing 500 or euchre,
baking bread with "Robin Hood" flour, having tea parties, wearing hats, sewing
polka dot matching outfits, painting, gardening, having company over,
designing houses, making sugar cookies and apple pies, a well deserved
martini, planting seeds, dancing, watching Little League games, camping.
Leona was preceded in death by her husband, Philip John Christiansen in
2003; her parents; two sons, David H. Christiansen in 2003 and Michael P.
Christiansen in 1986; three brothers, James L. Weber, Harvey Weber and Earl
Weber.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, John and Julie
Christiansen of Greeley, Colo., Peter Christiansen of Garden Grove, Calif.,
Jim and Marlene Christiansen of Fallbrook, Calif., Paul and Karen Christiansen
of Kingman, Ariz., Dixie Blanton of Fallbrook, Calif., and Patty Lu
Christiansen of Paso Robles, Calif; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Terry
Rumbaugh of Temecula, Calif., Patti and Michael Mareschal, Cyndi and Tim
Hauff, and Cammy and Dennis Standish, all of Fallbrook, Calif; brother, Marvin
Weber of Torrance, Calif.; sister, Pearl Grote of Fallbrook, Calif.; 29
grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Fallbrook,
Calif., at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7. Interment followed at Fallbrook Masonic
Cemetery.
