Esther Agnes "Betty" DuVall was born the eldest of four children to Esther Emma Munhall and Francis Herbert DuVall on January 22, 1939 in Suffern, Rockland, New York.

Esther had three younger siblings; Edward Otto, James Bruce, and MaryAnn DuVall.

She married Charles Philip Conklin on September 15, 1958 in Sloatsburg, Rockland, New York; they divorced in about 1975 in Sherburne, Chenango, New York. Together they had four children; Phillip Francis, Kevin Joseph, Mary Margaret, and Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" Conklin. She was predeceased by Kevin in 1962.

Esther's second marriage was to William Howard Youngs on June 18, 1977 in Earlville, Chenango, New York; they separated on May 27, 1997 in Port St. Lucie, St. Lucie, Florida.

Esther passed away May 18, 1999 in Palm Beach Gardens, Palm Beach, Florida. She was buried at White City Cemetery in Fort Pierce, St. Lucie, Florida. Her grandson, Adam Christopher Youngs' remains were cremated and placed in a vault in her burial plot.

Esther A. Youngs, 60, of Port St. Lucie died Tuesday, May 18th, 1999 at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center.

She was born in Suffern, NY and had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for 12 years, moving from Sherburne, NY.

She attended the Church of the Nazarene in Port St. Lucie.

Survivors inclue a son Phillip Conklin of Port St. Lucie, two daughters and sons-in-law Mary and Dennis Youngs of Port St. Lucie, and Elizabeth and Duncan Youngs of Norwich, NY; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Jean DuVall of New South New Berlin, NY, James and Joan DuVall of New Berlin, NY; a sister and brother-in-law, MaryAnn and Harold Dodge of Smyrna, NY; and six grandchildren, Adam and Molly Youngs of Port St. Lucie, Erin, Sarah, Eric and Zachariah Youngs of Norwich, NY. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews. She's also survived by two aunts and uncles; Sarah and Yelta Feringa of Norwich, NY, Dale and Lester Eckerson of Port St. Lucie.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Conklin in 1962.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, May 21st, 1999 at Aycock Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie.

A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, May 22nd, 1999 at 10 a.m., at Aycock Funeral Home Chapel, Port St. Lucie with Pastor Tom Gritton officiating. Internment will be in White City Cemetery in Fort Pierce.

Arrangements are under the direction of Aycock Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie.
