MRS. GLADYS F. SIMS
KOUTS -- Mrs. Gladys F. Sims, 72, RFD 2, died at 11 p.m. Thursday in Porter Memorial hospital after an illness of three months.
She was born in Hobart on Aug. 22, 1893.
A member of Kouts American Legion auxiliary she was a resident of Kouts for the past eight years, coming from Morgan township.
She was married to Harry Weideman who preceded her in death in 1929. She was later married to Charles Sims who preceded her in death in 1956.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Lee Lane, Kouts; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Gladys Clark and Mrs. Katherine Rhynard, both of Valparaiso; three sons, William, Kenneth and Woodrow Weideman, all of Valparaiso; two stepsons, Joseph and George Sims, also of Valparaiso; 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Kosanke Brothers Funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery, Valparaiso.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Saturday.
