She married Waman Clark on 28 Feb 1843. They had at least two children: a son, Mark Lowry Clark and a daughter, Ann Clark (1847-1849 burial unknown).
In the public record she is found in the following US Federal Census records:
- 1850 for White Co., Sparta Tn - with husband, Waman, and son, Mark
- 1860 for White Co., Sparta, Tn - with husband and a farm overseer
- 1870 for White Co., Sparta, Tn - with husband and 3 black female housekeepers, 2 black farm workers
- 1880 for White Co., Sparta, Tn - with husband and his aunt, Polly Clark (age 81)
- 1900 for White Co., Tn - as a widow and boarder in the Lowrey household
- 1910 for Nashville, Davidson Co., Tn - with her grandaughter, Bessie Clark Hill and her husband, Dr. Charles Lowery Hill
She is also found in the 1907 Nashville City Directory.
She is remembered in her great granddaughter's memoir. Sammie Fain Clark Sims writes, "Waman Clark's wife, my great grandmother, was Elizabeth Lowry. She lived to be in her 90's and I remember her quite well. She lived with my Aunt Bessie and Uncle Charles Hill in Nashville when I was a little girl. I was not with my Clark kin very much as my father died two months before I was born.....The Clark family lived in White Co. near Sparta."
Elizabeth Lowrey Clark was a master quilter and the creator of the family treasured, red, whole cloth quilt.
