Mrs. Carrie Allee, age 97, of Crockett, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010 in the East Texas Medical Center-Crockett. She was born February 11, 1913 in Houston County, Texas and had lived in the area all of her lifetime. Mrs. Allee was a member of the Austonio Baptist Church and was a housewife. Her joy was gardening, mowing everything in sight on her John Deere tractor and growing her flowers.

Survivors include daughters, Ann Brantley and husband, LaDon of Crossett, Arkansas, Nina McQueen and husband, William of Pasadena, Texas; son, Johnson Allee of Austonio, Texas; sisters, Maisy Indjidjian of Crockett and Daisy Fritz of Crockett; grandchildren, Belinda Carder of Crossett, Arkansas, Mike Brantley of Crossett, Arkansas, JoAnn Hough of Austonio, Texas, Bill McQueen, Jim Alle of Kirbyville, Texas, Sharon Allee of Austonio, Texas and Lydia McKendree of Corsicana, Texas; fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by husband, Joe L. Allee in 1971 and daughter-in-law, Dody Allee in 2007.
Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Allee will be held Friday, October 15, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Austonio Baptist Church with Rev. Ottis Byers officiating. Interment will follow in the Creek Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Thursday evening 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Austonio Baptist Church or Austonio Volunteer Fire Department.
