N. L. MORGAN PASSES AWAY
Nahunta, Ga., July 31, 1936. The funeral services of Noel Lawson Morgan of Screven will be held this after noon at 3 o'clock from the Screven Methodist Church.
Mr. Morgan died Wednesday afternoon in Colvin-Ritch Sanitarium, Jesup, following an illness of several weeks, although he was serious ill only four days. He was rushed to the hospital just a few hours before his death.
Mr. Morgan was one of Wayne County's leading naval stores operators. He also owned large farming interests. He was at one time mayor of Screven and served several years as a member of the City Council. He was very active in civic and political circles. He was born September 2, 1867, in Wayne County, what is now a part of Brantley County.
He was the son of Berry W. and Mrs. Lytha Morgan.
