Mr. Waugh died of a heart attack Saturday afternoon at his home, 5805 E. Lowell.
Life resident of Indianapolis, Mr. Waugh was a graduate of Cathedral High School, where he was on the football team, and, in 1931 received a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering at Purdue University. While attending the university, he worked during his vacations for the Indianapolis Power and Light Co., joining the company's engineering staff after graduation. At the time of his death, he was a supervisory engineer of system operation, and specialized in the development and operation of the company's distribution system.
Mr. Waugh was author of several articles on public utility operation for The Electrical World. During World War II he was member of the utility's civil defense setup, and was also a member of the present organization. He was a member of the American Institute of Electrical Engineering. He was also a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and its Men's Club and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Marjorie Waugh, and four daughters, the Misses Mary, Patricia, Virginia and Kathleen Waugh.
