Walter Ricketts Services Today

Water Ricketts, 78, of Pateros, passed away on Sunday afternoon at the home of his son, Wilbur Ricketts.

Mr. Ricketts came from Norway about 1905 and resided in Brewster for a short time. He then homesteaded up the Chiliwist and moved to Malott about 1915, so that the children could enroll in school.

In 1930 he and his wife moved to Okanogan. His wife preceded him in death in 1954.

Mr. Ricketts suffered a stroke in 1954 and had made his home wit his son Wilbur in Pateros since that time. Mr. Ricketts was a familiar figure working to and from town right up until the time of his passing.

Services will be held Thursday at 10 am at the Barnes Chapel in Okanogan. He is survived by four children, Mrs. Fern Dow of Tonasket, Mrs. Helen Jansen and Harold Ricketts of Moses Lake, and Wilbur Ricketts of Pateros. There are ten grandchildren. Burial will be in the family plot in Wenatchee.
