COOKEVILLE – Funeral services for Lassie C. Loftis, 86, of Cookeville will be held Thursday, January 9, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Loftis died Tuesday, January 7, 1992, in Cookeville General Hospital.
A native of Jackson County born March 22, 1905, she was the daughter of the late Henry P. and Betty Purcell Spivey.
A member of Double Springs Church of Christ, she was a homemaker.
Her family includes a son, Walter Bailey of Michigan; three stepsons, Lawrence and Mitchell Loftis, both of Michigan, and Harold Loftis of Maryland; four sisters, Ruth Wood, Grace Sledge and Juanita Spivey, all of Nashville, and Modine Walker of Michigan; 17 grandchildren and 20 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Loftis, and a daughter, Louise Haney
