Mrs. Loftis died Tuesday, January 7, 1992, in Cookeville General Hospital.
A native of Jackson County born March 22, 1905, she was the daughter of the late Henry P. and Betty Purcell Spivey.
A member of Double Springs Church of Christ, she was a homemaker.
Her family includes a son, Walter Bailey of Michigan; three stepsons, Lawrence and Mitchell Loftis, both of Michigan, and Harold Loftis of Maryland; four sisters, Ruth Wood, Grace Sledge and Juanita Spivey, all of Nashville, and Modine Walker of Michigan; 17 grandchildren and 20 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Loftis, and a daughter, Louise Haney
