Adelaide G. "Addy" Emch, 93, of Grand Island died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. Addy as born June 23, 1917, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Carl and Catherine (Lamb) Appel.
She was united in marriage to Robert S. Emch in 1937, in Youngstown. He preceded her in death in 1999.
Survivors are: son, Robert C. Emch of Mesa, Ariz.; daughter, Karen J. Emch of Bethesda, Md.; sister, Muriel Ernest of Youngstown; nieces and nephews and extended family, Greg and Kindy Massing and Isaiah and Lindsey Massing, all of Grand Island.
Addy received her education in Youngstown, Ohio graduating in 1934. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and she loved yardwork.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Carol Appel; and sister, Magdalene Windsor.
