Florence was the daughter of Otice Morey and Viola S. Bagwell, of Leavenworth, Kansas. She had a brother, George, and a sister, Barbara. She married Leslie Lawrence in 1944 and they had three children, Nancy, Phylliss, and Terry. She later married Dan Garver. A nurse, she was retired from the Veterans Administration. She succombed to lung cancer.
