The passing of Lee Moorhouse takes from us another member of the notable group closely linked with pioneer days. The major was a real "covered wagon" man for he came on the early days and his life was closely linked with the events of the half century. Few men knew the Indians better than he did or took more interest in them. No one was more interested than he in the history of the west and preserviing some record of that brave period. His collection of curios and his remarkable photographic work have interested thousands from all over the land.

Pendleton can never be quite the town it has been with Lee Moorhouse gone.
