MRS, BARBARA SMITH DIED ON TRAIN

Weston Feb 21---Mrs. Barbara Smith, who was spoken of yesterday as having a paralytic stroke in this city, died last evening on the train between here and Walla Walla as she was being taken to the hospital. Mrs. Smith was 65 years of age and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Moorhouse, pioneers of Weston but her home until recently, had been in the Willamette Valley, where she has a family of sons and daughters. No arrangements have been made for the funeral but it is likely that the remains will be taken to the valley for interment. Mrs. Smith has one son John Smith in Pendleton and he arrived last evening in response to the news of her illness. She was also a sister of Lee Moorhouse of Pendleton.
