Richard G. Stout, of Throckmorton, was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Stout retired in 1942 from service with the Fort Worth & Denver Railway at Seymour for 35 years as an engineer. He moved to Throckmorton in 1942.

Survived by two sons - Phillip and Gale Stout; three brothers - Andrew, Callie and Lowe Stout; four sisters - Mrs. Bennie London, Mrs. Ether Condron, Mrs. Abbie Stewart and Mrs. Artie Dunlap; four grandchildren.
