STOUT ~ Services for J.P. Stout were held in the Methodist Church. Jack P. Stout was born near Arkadelphia, Arkansas. In 1862, the family moved to Tarrant County and in 1872 on 10 August, Mr. Stout married Miss Elizabeth E. Sadler of Alvarado. Just after their marriage, they moved to Grayson County. In 1877, they went to Buffalo Gap in Clay County living there until 1887 when they moved to Hog Creek in Throckmorton County. They made their home at that place until 1928 when they moved to Seymour to live with a daughter. During their long residence at Hog Creek, the trading point for supplies was Seymour. Mr. Stout united with the Methodist Church in 1888. Survived by his wife; six sons, and five girls; 39 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Six of the grandsons acted as pallbearers. . The first child died in infancy and another at the age of seven months.
