Jennie was the 4th born of 3 sisters and 1 brother. Her father owned a furniture store in Chicago on Lincoln Avenue. She grew up in the city, but a number of photos show her riding horses. Her sister Alice May Peterson married Friedrich Kuhman. The Kuhman's had a farm in Yorkville Illinois that Jennie visited through out her life. She visited Colorado and there are pictures of her there. One of her friends is listed as Birdie Johnson. I have not yet been able to figure out this correlation. She must have been very close with her sister Hattie Peterson as Hattie is buried in the same cemetery plot her. Her married name was Hattie Lincoln, but has no relation to the famous president. Both Jennie and Hattie finished living their lives in California.
After Harry J Seiler's abrupt death in 1920, Jennie had to fend for herself and her children. Her mother had moved in but died in 1924 of senility. Walter Earl Seiler 21 soon moved out and went to California, Ruth M. Seiler 18 followed, and Dorothy Betty 12 helped raise Harry Warren Seiler.
