GREENSBURG- Allen Dirks, 94, died Feb. 21, 1994 at Kiowa County Memorial Hospital Greensburg.
He was born June 16, 1899, in Marion County near Durham, the son of Gerhard and Julia Jantz Dirks. A Greensburg resident since 1910, he was a retired restaurant owner at both Greensburg and Colorado Springs, Colo.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Colorado Springs, Colo., the American Legion, Denver, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Greensburg.
On March 19, 1932, he married Lesta Hammond at Haviland, She died Dec. 19, 1974.
Survivors include: two brothers, Willard, Greensburg, and Gerhard Jr., Carson City, Mich., and two sisters, Edna Smith, Greensburg, and Lucille Friesen, Atwater, Calif.,
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fleener Chaoel, Greensburg, with the Rev. Milton Unruh presiding. Burial will be in the Fairview Cmetery, Greensburg.
