Original Aisenbrey Funeral Home Temporary Marker

Destroyed by lawn mower summer of 2010

Photo taken by nephew Del Gran August 31, 2008, about two years before the "temporary" marker was destroyed by lawnmower in 2010 after 108 years. Fortunately, plans for the current permanent marker, to honor the entire family, were already in place.

Granite memorial purchsed in July 2011 and installed in September 2011 which replaces the temporary marker with a permanent memorial that includes Albert Hjalmer's parents and ten siblings, all deceased as of January 2011 passing of Morris.

Photo taked August 31, 2008 prior to the original 1902 Funeral Home Marker by Aisenbrey Funeral Home being destroyed by lawn mower in 2010. The steel strap on the back of the marker retained the position until a 24" x 12" Granite marker was installed in September 2011.

After being hit by a lawn mower during the summer of 2010, the steel strap is all that remains of the temporary funeral home marker for Albert Hjalmer Gran. A "milk jug" was placed under the strap to maintain visibility until a permanent marker was installed in September, 2011.

Photo was taken on July 7, 2011 by nephew Del Gran.
