Beloved daughter, wife, sister and friend, Stephanie M. (Butts) Horn, 26, of Tyler, Texas and formerly of Dover, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2004 in the East Texas Medical Center after a brief illness.

Born November 11, 1977 in Canton, she was the daughter of Theresa (Butts) Snyder of Dover.

Stephanie was a 1996 graduate of Dover High School where she was active in band, having played the trumpet. She went on to Mount Vernon Nazarene College, graduating in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in English Literature.

She spent her summers as a Christian camp counselor at Inspirational Hills. It was there that she met the love of her life, Matthew Benjamin Horn, who survives. The couple was married on December 22, 2001.

Stephanie had a life dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ and had faithfully served Him daily. She was loved and cared for by her family and friends and will be truly missed. Her pleasant smile and kind words will remain in the memories of all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Clinton Butts and a special cousin, Brian Balder.

In addition to her mother, Stephanie is survived by: her stepfather, Kenny Snyder of Beach City; brother, Dan; sisters, Esther and Katie Snyder of Dover; grandparents, Mary "Ginny" Butts of Canton, and Howard (Mary) Snyder of Dundee; in-laws, David and Audrey Horn and sister-in-law Amy Horn all of Athens, TX; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
