Mrs. Orpha Catherine Heck, 49, wife of B.R. Heck, 714 Bird St., died this morning in the Camden - Clark Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born in Wirt County, Nov. 19, 1911, daughter of thee late William H. and Lutrincy Showalter King and spent most of her life in Parkersburg. She was a member of the 7th St. EUB Church.
Survivors include her husband; four sons and a daughter by a former marriage: Robert Lee Mercer, Billy Mercer, Darrel Mercer, and Bernard Mercer, all of Richmond, Va., and Miss Lera Louise Mercer, also of Richmond; four grandchildren; a brother, Ira E. King, Parkersburg; four sisters, Mrs. Gretta Allen, and Mrs. Sylvia Wigal, both of Vienna, Mrs. Cleona Wigal, Wadesville, and Mrs. Meredeth Oliver, Parkersburg; a sister and brother preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Kimes Funeral Home Monday at 10 a.m. with burial to be in the Arlington Memorial Gardens. The Rev. James H. Reed will officiate.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday noon.
