Emma Anna Ide was born in Wayne County, Ohio, on October 15, 1851. At an early age she moved with her parents to Ill. on January 1, 1867, she was married to Calvin R. Vandeveer, at Cambridge, Ill. To this union were born three sons and three daughters.
In 1889 they, with their family, moved to Richardson County, Nebraska. Here she made her home until the past two years which she spent in Des Moines, Iowa, at the home of a daughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Alice Sinnett, and one son, William. Mrs. Vandeveer passed away at Des Moines on Wednesday, September 4, 1940, at the age of 88 years, 10 months and 19 days.
Continues on until Interment was in the Pleasant View Cemetery.
