Funeral services for Lucille M. Arndt, 89, of Cooperstown, ND, were held in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Cooperstown. Interment was in the Hero Cemetery, rural Cooperstown. She died September 15, 2001, in the Griggs County Nursing Home in Cooperstown, where she had been a resident for a short time.
Lucille was born March 7, 1912, in Michigan, ND, the daughter of Christian and Inga (Langrud) Tromsness. She moved with her family to Cooperstown, ND, where she grew up and attended school.
She married Bert Arndt in 1932. The couple farmed in the Jessie area until 1947 when they moved out-of-state. Bert died September 7, 1972. Lucille moved back to Cooperstown in 1996.
She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
She is survived by three sons, Church (Virginia), Cooperstown, ND; Jerald, Brooklyn Center, MN; Jerome (Carole), Everett, WA; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Eleanor Hutchison, Riverside, CA; and a brother, Chester, Powers Lake, ND.
