Charles Arndt, known as "Chuck," died at his home, at the age of 74. He was a resident of Cooperstown, North Dakota, the son of Lucille (Tromsness) Arndt and Bert Arndt. He attended country schools near Jessie, North, Dakota. In 1947 he moved with his family to Minnesota, he entered the Army, serving with the 101st Airborne during the Korean War. After his Army days, he spent time in both Minnesota and North Dakota. He settled in Washington, marrying Ginny Allen in November of 1964 in Seattle, Washington. Chuck was a Watch Lieutenant at the Washington State Reformatory for 25 years. He retired in 1993, and they moved back to his hometown of Cooperstown, North Dakota in 1996. He enjoyed woodworking and playing cards. He is survived by: His wife of 43 years, Ginny Arndt of Cooperstown, North Dakota, two daughters, Michelle Wild of Onamia, Minnesota, and Victoria Wagner of Gold Bar, Washington, and son, Bert Arndt of Pocatello, Idaho, also three step-sons, Aaron Patraw of Monroe, Washington, Jason Patraw of Hannaford, North Dakota, and Leeon Patraw of Hillsboro, North Dakota, and step-daughter, Veronica Patraw of Cooperstown, North Dakota, plus two brothers, Jerry Arndt of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota and Jerome Arndt of Everett, Washington.
