Velma (Caire') Jackson was born in Watalula, Arkansas in Franklin County. Her parents are John C. & Sarah Ellen (Smith- Bolin) Caire'. She had four sisters, Luella "Lue", Bertha "Bertie", Jenette Mae "Nettie" & Mittie Caire'. Velma wed Doy Sandford Jackson on January 15, 1923 in Watalula, Arkansas. To this union there was born four children, a daughter, Aline Jackson & three brothers, Alvin, Earnest Ray & Leon B. Jackson. Aunt Velma married a nephew, Doy Sandford Jackson, to my Grandpa Jackson (Christopher Coloumbus Jackson).
