Annie Merie Hanes Isaacs, age 88, died Sunday, November 16, 1997 in Wellington. Annie Isaacs was born in Throckmorton County, Texas on March 29, 1909 to George and Emily Calote Hanes. She married James F. Isaacs January 19, 1929 in Bethel. She moved to Wellington in 1944 and was a homemaker. She was a receptionist at the County Historical Museum for three years. Shebwas a member of the First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death, by her husband, James Isaacs in 1993; one daughter, Charlotte Bergvall in 1977; and a sister.
Survivors include three daughters Ethel Jean Mullins of Mansfield; Naomi Austin of Plainview and Donna Maxwell of Wellington; four sons, James H. Isaacs of Forth Worth; Hanes Isaacs of Chino Valley, AZ; David Isaacs of Houston and Harvey Isaacs of Dalhart; one sister, Chole McMullin of McLean; 23 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
